Objectives

EURLAB is an innovative project to create, develop and disseminate good learning practices and educational materials in Robotics and STEM with new approaches of "Flipped Classrooms", "Learning by Doing" and "Collaborative Learning".

Science and technology shape our daily lives more than ever but experts in the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, and Engineering & Math’s) are missing on the job market. European Industry needs high skills in Science and Technology to develop innovation and to be successful globally.
With EURLAB, we want to increase students' interest in scientific and technical studies by using new teaching and learning approaches in the field of engineering and particularly Robotics.

EURLAB is an innovative project to create a network of real and virtual European Robotic Labs gathering skills and resources of all partners.

EURLAB is an ERASMUS+ Project funded by European Commission.

Why robotics?

Robotics is a motivating industry that allows learning of Science and Technology at school. It mixes different technologies like mechanics, electronics and information. Robotics is a pathway for the future of several areas: mechatronics, electronics, optoelectronics, embedded software, energy, nanomaterials, artificial intelligence and connections. It intends to invade all areas: transport, industry, logistics, agriculture, health, leisure, defense, education ...

France launched in 2013 the "France Robots Initiatives »; a Plan for Robotics which recognizes the strong pedagogical potential of robotics for learning science and technology. It can be used for teaching even with young students from 10 years on.

Robotics is a key sector for european industrial development and growth essential for industrial development and growth in Europe. You can find more information about Robotics in Europe at eu Robotics AISBL
